The Smooth Stingray is also called the Short tail Stingray. It is the world's largest Stingray, Bathytoshia brevicaudatum. This one is a male. I photographed it at 25 metres depth and at ISO 800 f7.1 at 1/60 sec using the 35mm Settting on my 16 to 35, wide angle Nikkor zoom lens to fill the frame. Always get low when approaching large Stingrays. Never appraoch above them. They see it as a threat.
